Advantages of halogen-free cables for general installations

General-purpose halogen-free cables combine fire safety and installation flexibility, without the constraints of IMQ-HAR certifications:

  • Fire safety without HAR approval: They are non-flame propagating in accordance with Standards IEC 60332-1-2 and IEC 60332-3-24 Cat. C, making them suitable for installations where fire safety is required but specific certification is not mandatory.
  • Wide product range: Single-core, multicore and separable flat cables rated up to 105°C, manufactured in LS0H thermoplastic materials or cross-linked rubber compounds, to cover the main wiring requirements.
  • Alternative to traditional PVC cables: For applications where CPR CE marking is not mandatory but halogen-free properties and flame-retardant performance are required.

Production of general-purpose LS0H cables

Salcavi manufactures general-purpose halogen-free cables with the same quality approach as its certified product range; the SI Lab laboratory verifies the actual absence of halogens in the materials and compliance with the combustion parameters defined by the relevant IEC Standards. The products are available in the main cross-sections and construction types to facilitate procurement standardisation.

Applications of halogen-free cables: reference sectors

The distributors and installers who choose this range operate in civil and industrial installations where fire safety is a design requirement but CPR marking is not mandatory. The product range is suitable for wiring in residential buildings, industrial plants and environments with the presence of people, as an alternative to traditional PVC cables.
